Have the power to make people happy of "Lovespoon"


Have you ever heard of an amulet named "Lovespoon"? This is traditional amulet from the UK. Specifically, it was a traditional craft in the Celtic region of the UK. This spoon is said to have the power to make people happy.


It is said that a man sent a Lovespoon to a woman who loves a wooden spoon with a decorative sculpture in Wales in the 17th century. It is like giving a ring when a man makes a proposal of marriage in Japan.

It is an amulet of love mainly, but each shape of the part of the spoon's pattern gives you a good fortune other than love, such as health, safe travel, and so on. It seems to have various powers now.

But you may wonder, why is it a spoon? The reason is that a spoon is a tool that conveys food to your mouth so "it never makes you plant you will nature your whole life" and the meaning that "child who brought silver spoon can be happy". In Japan it is known as a lucky piece that brings happiness.

From here, I will introduce the meaning of each shape.

Horse shoe: A horse shoe is a symbol of good luck. The top is open to gather the falling luck.
Heart         : A heart shape represents affection or true love
Love "Love's l is on the heart": To be connected with a loved one
Rose          : Rich life, wish for health
Anchor      : It leads to peace of mind and safety through out like

Beautiful Sound Gamelan Balls

I would like to introduce Gamelan balls. They are from Bali in Indonesia. For the past, when Bali's people attended religious ceremonies they used Balinese instruments, as   Bali's people give instrument to God indispensable things is Gamelan. Incidentally Gamelan is derived from the word Gamel, which means “hit”.   Gamelan balls captured the beautiful sound of Bali's traditional gamelan music in the brass ball. In Bali it is said that God dwells in all sacred natural things. The rounded gamelan balls represent the moon, and the motifs are designs of the sea, stars, the moon, flowers and so on. Have you ever heard of nazar bonju? This is a type of amulet from Turkey. It seems that nazar means evil eye and bonju is  a charm like an eyeball. In Turkey, it was believed that evil spirits would cling to people and cause harm. Also, it is said that you get sick if you receive a jealous look, so it is an amulet for not getting sick.
